Goo Hye Sun reveals she suffered from stage fright for 10 years.

On the 24th, Goo Hye Sun attended a recording of the KBS talk show “Peppermint”. On the show, Goo Hye Sun, along with another member of YG entertainment: Seung ri, got on stage together and sang a song composed by herself and Kim Gun Mo’s “잠 못이루는 밤 비는 내리고”. 

All the while, Goo Hye Sun was fighting her battle with stage fright.. Before the performance, she even took medicine to calm her nerves. Everything was to finally overcome her stage fright that has controlled her for 10 years.

Goo Hye Sun suffered from stage fright up till last year. She could barely lift her head when she was around many people she did not know. There were even times when people misunderstood her intentions because of her quiet behavior. 

But since the beginning of “Boys Over flowers”, she has tried hard to correct her personality, so that she could better portray her character in the drama. The lively personality of her character has helped a lot. 

Goo Hye Sun was said to have been very nervous before the recording. She feared that she would make mistakes due to her nervousness. Stage fright was the reason why she didn’t appear on as many variety shows/live shows as other actors. This was also the reason why she couldn’t show 100% of her singing abilities on music shows. 

Despite everything, Goo Hye Sun ended her performance successfully. She couldn’t hide her happiness at finally overcoming her fear of performing. 

Goo Hye Sun revealed, “I even took medicine to calm my nerves.” She laughed as she mentioned, “Still, I gave a satisfying performance. I’m glad.” She happily added, “This is the first time I sang without shaking on stage. I’ve finally beaten my stage fright after 10 years. My heart feels so overwhelmed.”
